Sacred Hearts are a Meanjin/Brisbane based post-punk duo who
fuse shoegaze, new wave, and industrial influences. For the release of their latest EP Siren Songs, I was commissioned to create merch and tour posters.
Inspired by punk flyers from the 1980s, I designed posters with a DIY aesthetic that reflects the band’s punk influences. I took inspiration from their lyrics to develop images evoking grunge aesthetics.
This project allowed me to step outside my usual style and experiment across multiple assets. It was amazing seeing
my merch designs worn by fans and wearing them myself!

I acknowledge the Jagera and Turrbal People as the traditional custodians of the land
on which I live and work. I pay my respects to Elders past and present and extend that
respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
